Here in this airbrush video we will cover everything we went over in airbrush lessons 1 and 2 videos and the dagger stroke video. We’ll use our dots, lines, dagger stroke and shading techniques to create a very simple painting of an iland with two palm tree’s, sun and some birds. Easy, simple stuff intended to break you the boredom of practicing the basic’s. Please keep in mind that it’s just paint, relax and have fun with it.

What you’ll need for to follow along with this lesson: Double action airbrush, airbrush ready paint like Createx Illustration colors, Comart, newsptint and easel.

As with any graphic you paint on a non porous surface like metal or fiberglass the paint you apply is only as good as whats underneath it so be sure to get the prep done correctly.

This would be just as easy to accomplish using Createx Airbrush paint  just be sure to read their tech sheet and any good double action airbrush.

We’ll take a look at all these products and do a very simple skull, flag design on a half helmet, very easy basic stuff. The images in the video look darker than they actually are.

Which airbrush you use or which paint is really personal preference. Which airbrush feels most comfortable in your hand, price point, etc. What works well for me might not work so well for you, there is no one magic solution that holds true for everyone who airbrushes.

Practice, Practice.

Just set aside a few hours a few to practice the basic’s of airbrushing and you’ll be up to speed in no time.
